In a world where sustainability is becoming increasingly important, it’s time for the world of kids’ fashion to step up. By choosing sustainable made clothing Sproet & Sprout tries to reduce the negative impact of fashion on the planet and create a better future for our children. Our industry is the second largest polluter in the world. Together we use more water than any other, apart from agriculture, and are responsible for the unfair working conditions of millions of people. Time to make a change!
Friendly for environment and skin = win-win
We are on a mission to exclusively use of sustainable materials. With the use of 86% on 2022 collections, 95% on 2023 collections and 98% sustainable materials on 2024 collection we are getting closer! When it comes to sustainable fashion for our kids, the choice of material plays a big role. One of the most eco-friendly materials we use (almost 2/3 of the collection) is organic cotton, which is grown naturally and without the use of harmful chemicals. The result is hypoallergenic and soft fashion. Other sustainable fabrics used are BCI cotton, Eco Vero and Recycled polyester. All materials are finished to make sure there are no leftovers and therefor no waste.
Fair trade
Another important aspect is fair trade and ethical manufacturing. When choosing sustainable clothes you can be confident that the people who made the clothes, worked in safe conditions and were paid fair wages. Sustainable is also about taking our social responsibility and working with carefully selected factories.
